Riyad Mahrez wanted to create his own platform, independent of social networks, to meet his fan community on a field that truly belongs to him. RM26 is an iOS/Android mobile app developed in Flutter, designed as a digital 'private club'. It provides access to exclusive content (behind the scenes, training, locker room), interactive live sessions, member perks (signed jerseys, VIP experiences) and a 3-tier subscription system. PULSE.digital was mandated to design and develop RM26 as a premium white-label product, not as a generic fan app.

Launching a global app at once
RM26 targets a global fan base, with a highly publicized launch. The platform had to quickly absorb a significant volume of downloads, account creations and video consumption.
Product credibility facing skepticism
Some media reacted with irony to the announcement of 'the Mahrez app'. The product had to prove its value through quality, not hype.
Monetizing without degrading fan relationship
The risk: pushing too hard on the paywall and disappointing the fan base. Finding the balance between free value and paid premium content.
Creating a proprietary platform vs social networks
Convincing fans to leave Instagram and Twitter for a dedicated app, with a level of intimacy and interaction impossible on traditional networks.
